Creating a New Post

Creating a New Post

Login into the website.

On the left-hand side, click on Posts, then select Add New.
You will get the pre-defined template to create new Post under the Visual tab.

Be sure to stay in the Visual editor. Switching to the Text or Page Builder option will modify the web design in both live and staging environments.

Add a title and then the content of your post. The Visual edit is considered a WYSIWYG editor - What You See Is What You Get. Add content here as desired and select “Save Draft” and “Preview” as you are editing to see what the content will look like once published. Be sure to “Save Draft” after you are done with content updates.

Advanced Entry Options: The default settings selected are already set to the theme for you. Do not change these settings.

Post Layout: Found along the right side of the editing page, this option allows you to choose the layout for your new post. For the MRCA website, the theme selected uses the Two Column - Left Sidebar layout. Choose this option from the drop down menu.
