Channels Subscription

Channels Subscription

Channels Subscription feature gives you the ability to create specific channels in your app that users can subscribe to. Based on the channels that the user subscribes to, the app will show information from selected Channels only.

Channels feature also enables you to send Targeted Push Notifications. When sending out a notification, you can select what all channels would you like to send the notification for, enabling you to send out notifications smartly, rather than broadcasting the entire community.

New properties of the Channel Subscription functionality enable you to do the following:
1. Password Protect Channels
2. Create Tiered Channels
3. Mark Channels as Mandatory

The delivery of a Push Notification is not guaranteed by Apple for iOS devices or Google for Android devices. Although we have made every effort to ensure the 100% success rate of sending and receiving push notifications to Crescerance apps, this service is ultimately provided by Apple and Google and certain things remain out of our control. If your app has registered with the push service but it is not receiving notifications, the problem may be either on the device/computer side or on the provider side.

Password Protected channels require a passcode to provide access. Please note that this is for passcode authentication only, and not the authentication of a user based on their personal information.

Here are some ideas on how to use this feature for your app:

For a School District

Create multiple tiers for your different schools – Elementary, Middle and High Schools, to create a mobile ecosystem for your entire community. Use password protected channels to share updates and information with selective personnel only **

For a Conference

Use tiered channels to create channels for different conference days and enable users to subscribe for the days that they choose to attend. Create speakers-only sections to create a dedicated spot for Speakers to place their presentations, handouts and so on.

Changing your channel preferences in the app
